Another stove that is worth saving, but it wasn't cared for much over the years. I could have measured the depth of the grime on this one. I actually considered using this stove for a re-paint project I have in mind, but I'll use a more common stove for that. This one deserves to continue life as-is.

I removed as much case rust as I could, then sealed it with a light coat of oil to stop or slow future rusting. The stove was completely rebuilt with the valve stem packing and the filler cap gasket replaced. All else was thoroughly cleaned and put back in service. The stove burns great. One thing I found odd about this stove is how close the valve wheel is to the tank. There are wear marks there from turning it over the years.
