Coleman Model LQ427

Double Mantle Quick Lite Lantern

Born in December of 1936

Condition: Fair-Good

She's taken a slight beating over the years but still looks and burns great. It was dirty, heavily rusted and corroded when I got it. All of that came off to reveal a not-so-bad example of the good old 427. Better than Chevy's weak attempt.

Lantern was torn down and rebuilt. Valve stem packing and filler cap gasket were replaced, the gas tip on the R55 was removed and cleaned. She fires right up and burns great.

Please review the photos closely to see the condition of the nickel. It has that high shine but there is quite a bit of spotting and haze in it. And that one good ding in the front is noticable unfortunately.

The globe is the best part. Assumed original, it has some broken panes and has "that" look. You could probably talk to brother Rob Butts to replace the bad ones if you wanted to. It sure looks nice on the lantern. The ventilator has a couple of small chips in it, and some of the glossy luster is gone. No dents or large chips.

Asking price is $125.00, plus shipping.
