Coleman Model 1901 (2 of 2)

Electric Celebration Lantern

Date Unknown

Condition: Never Used

**Note. I have two of these for sale, and I did not see a need to photograph both of them. The first photo shown here is the (still dusty) lantern #2 that this listing is for. The remainder of the photos are of lantern #1. They are identical except for as described below.

When you collect for 25 years and then stumble across something you didn't even know existed, chances are you've found something rare.

I have since found out that Coleman made a Model 1900 (gas), 1901 (electric) and 1902 (white in color). Terry Marsh has the 1900 on his site but chose not to include the 1901. He must not like rare lanterns that run on Romex... Based on Facebook comments, these are (2) of the (3) 1901 lanterns that have surfaced.

I bought them to use, but they are just not right for what I wanted (shop stairwell). These need to be either displayed in a collection or placed at the end of a long beautiful driveway.

The lanterns are identical; the only difference is lantern #2 (this one) has a single wire nut included while the other lantern has a ripped envelope with (2) wire nuts in it. Both boxes are in poor but readable condition and it is obvious they were stored in a hot area because they are really crispy. Same with the instructions flyer.

It will be some time before you find another one (or two!) of these. You now have a chance to own one or two factory flat black 228 ventilators with screening inside the vent holes, one or two factory frosted Red Label Pyrex globes and one or two parallelogram ball nuts.

Asking price is $250 plus shipping and insurance. If the other one is still available, the cost for both lanterns would be $400 plus shipping and insurance.

This item is boxed and ready to ship. It weighs 8.5lbs and measures 21"x14"x13". Use those measurements and a shipping zip code of 83858 at the USPS or UPS or FedEx website for an estimate. We use Pirate Ship to save on shipping costs and have never charged a shipping or handling fee.

First come, first served. No warranty, sold as-is.
