Coleman Model 200A

Single Mantle Instant-Lite Lantern

Born in Sept of 1975

Condition: Mint

Wow. It will be 50 years old this fall and she looks like she did in 1975. This one had been fired before I got it (they even left me the mantle). I put fuel in her and she lit right up. Whoever had this lantern originally must have used it in their living room as there are no scuffs, scratches or dings that I can find..EXCEPT for a small bit of bail slap on the front, directly above the decal. A little smoke spotting here and there but even the bottom rim of the fount has barely a scuff. There is a little bit of rust that has formed on the bottom of the rest but is not much and should come off easily if it is an issue.

I did nothing to the lantern, other than fire it. I noticed during the lighting that 1) the valve stem nut could use a 1/2 turn clockwise to tighten up the packing, and 2) it took about a full turn of the valve wheel+ to introduce fuel.

Box is solid with all four top flaps intact, although one of them is a bit weak. Original documents included.

You're not going to find a printed-rest 200A in better condition than this, other than NOS.

Asking price is $200 plus shipping and insurance.
