Old Town Coleman's "Ready to Ship"
Coleman Model 426
Three Burner Camp Stove
circa 1949/1950
Condition: Very Good/Excellent
Really nice example of the original 426 three-burner Coleman stove. The rounded case really sets them apart from 426A/later versions.
This old girl does have some paint loss, and I tried to capture that in the photos. There are a couple of small areas with rust on the inside, but not much missing paint. The left side of the lid, and the stove's bottom have the majority of the paint loss. But as you can see, it is still a bright green and looks really nice despite all of that. I was able to remove 99% of the grease and the stove feels clean.
Everything was disassembled for cleaning. The manifold was repainted silver while the burner bowls and caps were hot blued. The tank had a bit of internal slime so it spent some time in the EvapoRust tank. Hot grease from previous use caused some spotting of the tank's gold paint but it is no longer sticky.
Box is still solid, although crispy of course. Two of the four end flaps are missing. Markings indicate it was shipped to/sold by Grant Brothers in Denver.
The generator was cleaned and retained, as was the check valve. The filler cap gasket and valve stem packing were replaced, and a gasket added to the check valve. Runs exactly like you want it to.
Asking price is $130 plus insured shipping.
This monster is boxed and ready to ship. It weighs 27.1lbs and measures 32"x18"x10". Use those measurements and a shipping zip code of 83858 at the USPS or UPS or FedEx website for an estimate. We use Pirate Ship to save on shipping costs and have never charged a shipping or handling fee.
First come, first served. No warranty, sold as-is.
